Civil Unions Bill Introduced In Rhode Island
by E-Li
After not passing the marriage equality, the lawmakers of Rhode Island could present a bill to allow civil unions.
The president of the Senate,Teresa Paiva-Weed, completely opposed to gay marriage, said she will support the civil unions.
Gov. Lincoln Chafee, who pushed the marriage equality, said that he would sign a civil unions bill if it passes.
"Rhode Island House Speaker Gordon Fox has made a serious miscalculation. With support for the freedom to marry topping 60 percent—higher than in any other state in the country—and with a strongly supportive governor, the Rhode Island House should send a marriage bill—and nothing less—to the senate now," said Freedom To Marry national campaign director Marc Solomon.
"Couples who are doing the work of marriage in their day-to-day lives, who have made a commitment in life, deserve to have an equal commitment under the law. That legal commitment is called marriage. Freedom to Marry is prepared to join with Speaker Fox, advocates on the ground, and a super-majority of Rhode Islanders to make the strongest case to the senate," he said.
"It would be disappointing if Rhode Island stopped short of full inclusion of its lesbian and gay citizens in 2011, but I recognize that every state needs to find its own path," added Vermont governor Peter Shumlin "I’m quite sure they’ll quickly realize, as we did in Vermont, that civil unions simply aren’t equal."

Grey's Anatomy Recap / Catch-Up
by ElleGrrl
Hello, again, my lovelies! I know I have been neglectful lately, but due to some unforeseen personal issues, I have been tied up with real-life doctors and unable to devote much time to the fictional ones. So, my solution to this problem is a mass catch-up recap session. From here on out, the recaps will be up to date, but I figured it would be more fun to have one giant post than several all posted at the same time. I'm going to break things down by character/storyline, so as to give the discussion some focus. So here we go!

Back It Up
by Arielle
There are times where I find myself wishing a perfect stranger would come up to me and quote Ron Burgundy as a pick up line: because then I’d have found “the one.” And lucky for you, after reading this article, having somebody approach you with the line: “You have...an absolutely breathtaking hiney," will be so commonplace the popular movie quote may lose most of it’s funny. Not all…because let’s be honest…it’s Anchor Man…it can never lose it’s funny. Basically what I’m trying to say here is: people are going to want to be friend’s with your backside after you put these poses into practice.

More Americans Want Marriage Equality
Many surveys have been doing since the beginning of the year in United States to show to politicians that Americans are "ready" for gay marriage. It is now CNN who brings some new results to us which show that more than 50% of americans are in favor of marriage equality.
51% of people who answer support the marriage for gays and lesbians, men being less favorable than women (more than 50% of men are against when 57% of women support it).
"More than six in 10 Democrats support same sex marriage, joined by more than half of independents, but seven in 10 Republicans are against it," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.
